We collect certain public and nonpublic information necessary for providing membership products and services to members of the County members who are members of Michigan Farm Bureau (“MFB”).

• Information from other sources (such as consumer publications and county Farm Bureau offices.)

Michigan Farm Bureau; the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture; MFB, Inc.; Michigan Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association, Inc.; Great Lakes Ag Labor Services, LLC; Farm Bureau General Insurance Company of Michigan; Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Michigan; Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company of Michigan; Community Service Acceptance Company; FB Equity Sales Corporation of Michigan; and FB Partners Group Premium Financing, LLC are each affiliates of each other and shall collectively be referred to as “MFB Entities”. We may disclose all of the information that we collect, as described above, with any of the MFB Entities, or their affiliates, as permitted by law. This is done in order to offer you products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. We will obtain your permission prior to doing this, when required by law.
Information We Disclose Outside the Farm Bureau Family of Companies
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members or former members to anyone, except as permitted or required by law. For example, we may disclose information to prevent misrepresentation or fraud, or in response to a subpoena or other legal requirement.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to persons who need to know that information so we may provide our products or services to you. We maintain physical, procedural, and electronic safeguards that comply with government regulations and established security standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Oakland County Farm Bureau Cares About Your Security
The privacy and security of your data is as important to us as it is to you. We use physical safeguards, procedural and data access controls to protect your data from unauthorized use. We continually monitor our systems to prevent unauthorized use.
How We Make Ourselves More Secure
We use strong 128-bit encryption and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a protocol for transmitting private information via the Internet. SSL uses a private key to encrypt data that is transferred over the SSL connection. This protocol is a standard used by many websites when customers submit confidential information, such as credit card numbers and personal information. SSL creates a secure connection between our server and your browser.
Important Note: Addresses of web pages using an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:. Also, most browsers display an icon of a closed padlock when you visit properly secured pages using SSL.
Additionally, the “My Profile” portion of our website is only available to members or prior members, where you can find a private and secure environment to access your membership account information. To access these features of our website, you will need to use a security-enabled web browser with 128-bit encryption installed.
Important Note: Our web pages are designed for and verified with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.x, 9.x, Firefox x.x and Chrome x.x. Using these browsers is recommended for optimal presentation and layout of our pages. Many other browsers will also work with our site.
How You Can Help Make Yourself More Secure
Here are some steps you can take to strengthen your security whenever you are online:
• Use an Internet firewall (either hardware or software).
• Stay current with your software and operating systems versions. Get upgrades and security patches on a regular basis.
• Stay current with your anti-virus software. Download updates frequently.
• Use your own PC (personal computer) whenever possible.
• Change your unique, difficult-to-guess password often.
• Use different Usernames/Passwords on different websites.

• Log off the website when you are finished and close your browser.
